Dr. Grant Booher


A fellowship trained neurosurgeon specializing in the latest minimally invasive spine techniques, Dr. Grant Booher utilizes robotic assisted spinal surgerycervical disc replacement, chiari decompression, minimally invasive discectomy including endoscopic approaches, complex spine surgery and spinal tumors. 

Born and raised in Arlington, TX and a graduate of Martin High School, Dr. Booher then graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelor’s degrees in Neurobiology and Psychology. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  Elected president of the Arnold P. Govern Gold Humanism Honor Society for exceptional and compassionate clinical care, Dr. Booher went on to attend residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Booher’s Specialty

During his Neurosurgical training he completed a minimally invasive spine fellowship with special focus on robotic applications. As one of the first in the nation to train in advanced image guidance and robotic assisted techniques, Dr. Booher finds cutting edge ways of giving his patient’s the best possible spinal treatment.

 
In addition to his many spinal procedures, his practice focuses on degenerative lumbar, thoracic and cervical disease/injury. This skillset has led many of his peers to consider him the leading authority on robotic and minimally invasive techniques in North Texas. He has published numerous articles and textbook chapters on robotic spine surgery. He also serves as instructor teaching other surgeons the intracacies of these advanced techniques. 

 

Our Beliefs

Dr. Booher believes in a conservative, individualized and holistic approach when it comes to his patients. He prefers exhausting all nonsurgical options and proudly offers the least invasive techniques when clinically indicated. He strives to treat every patient as a member of his family. During his free time, he and his wife enjoy watching sports, listening to Texas country music, and traveling.
